Prior to founding Daniel Burkhardt Associates, Dan Burkhardt led the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), where he developed a keen understanding of the San Francisco Bay Area legal market.  Over the course of more than ten years, he established deep professional connections to attorneys throughout the association’s 7,500-lawyer membership.  Because of his close working relationships with decision makers and decision influencers at law firms and in-house legal departments, Dan possesses an unrivaled appreciation of their business goals and objectives.  Because of his work with lawyers throughout the community, he understands how to help attorneys achieve their career aspirations whatever their practice area or specialization.

Prior to leading BASF, Dan served as a Deputy Assistant to the President in the Clinton White House.  He practiced law for more than four years as a litigation associate at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen and is a member of the State Bar of California.

Dan earned his BS degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a member of the Honor Students Society.  He earned his JD from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (Berkeley Law), where he served as Senior Note and Comment Editor of the California Law Review.
